The SSE Smart Client Container^sm (SCC) is a framework product custom written by SSE over the course of three years and numerous projects. The SCC framework can be licensed as pre-compiled DLL's or can include all available source code. This section describes the languages and technologies used to build the framework, the technologies required to work with the framework, and any 3rd party tool requirements.

The SSE Smart Client Container^sm is written in 100% managed C# code which currently targets the Microsoft .NET 2.0 framework. Overall, the SCC consists of over 150,000+ lines of optimized C# code (not including whitespace or comments). The SCC source code makes heavy use of .NET 2.0 specific features such as generics and has been heavily tested and optimized to provide its functionality with as little memory overhead as possible. SSE works closely with our customer's development teams to assist in setting up and configuring a new development environment utilizing the SCC. Each individual developer working with the SSE SCC will require installations and licenses for the following

• Visual Studio.NET 2005 (.NET 2.0)
• Infragistics NetAdvantage Suite 2007 Volume 1

Some optional 3rd party components provided in the SCC Extentions Add-In

• Janus GridEx.NET
• Microsoft SQL Server 2005 Reporting Services

Note: The last two components (Janus GridEx.NET and SSRS) are only required if using the SCC Extentions Add-In.

The requirements for desktops running applications built using the SCC are as follows:
