About SSE

When Susan S. Elliott founded Systems Service Enterprises Inc. (SSE) in 1966, she recognized that change was coming. Technological developments were unfolding rapidly, and significant advancements were starting to make companies around the world sit up and take notice.

Determined to get in on the ground floor of the PC revolution in 1983, Susan partnered with IBM who quickly had gained 75% of the market share. As part of IBM’s Market Assistance Program, SSE’s business began to rapidly grow through referrals. Leaning into that growth, SSE then opened up education centers to help companies train their employees on the new computing platform and the software that was available. SSE’s roots in education were set.

Companies who trusted SSE as a training partner, then turned to SSE for desktop support which quickly grew into network services which is the foundation of our robust managed network and cybersecurity services business. While we have grown and evolved to keep pace with technological change, what hasn’t changed is our commitment to service. Client service was core to Susan’s IBM training and that is the foundation of SSE and our success.
